Ideal for full-color designs onto a white background, this process uses heat-sensitive dyes to work its magic. Rather than laying color “onto” the surface of the item being decorated, as screenprinting does, sublimation dyes the color “into” the surface of the item. The design won’t peel or crack because it becomes part of the decorated item.
Sublimation requires a polymer surface for the dying process to take place. Hanes offers the Soft L’ink line of tees, sweatshirts and sportshirts specifically made for sublimation. (See Style #5850, 5470, F850, F350 and H850 under Hanes in the Brands section of this site.)
This method of decorating requires high quality art. The finished product can look only as good as the art provided. Additional charges may apply if art provided does not meet sublimation requirements. And the best part is…NO MINIMUM QUANTITIES REQUIRED! (A $45 set up charge will apply to orders less than 18 pieces.) A left chest sized logo is included in the price of the garments.
In addition to garments, this process is available for decorating a wide assortment of items, such as mugs, mouse pads, placemats, etc.
